| While exploring Pier 39 in San Francisco, California, I came across a replica of a cable car. I had just enough time to take 270 pictures before the car moved. I wanted to really give cubism a try when I began to lay out the photographs, but the resulting composition lacked punch. It was not until my third attempt that I came up with the subject curvature and the dual placement of shadows to complete the composition. |
